NOTICE: EFFECTIVE JULY 15TH 2008, THE INDIANA-PAW FOSTER ROSTER IS ON TEMPORARY HIATUS.

Indiana-PAW's Foster Program Director has had to suddenly resign. Indiana-PAW will conduct a search for her successor, but this may take some time. This process may be slowed due to the fact that Indiana-PAW's Director has recently faced a number of tragedies in her life over the past 8 weeks, including the unexpected death of her dog Melanie, and the recent diagnosis of cancer in two of her other dogs. Rest assured, Indiana-PAW will, however, undertake a search for a capable new administrator for its foster program.

Indiana-PAW is trying to help Indiana shelters and rescue groups save the lives of more Hoosier pets. As part of our programs, Indiana-PAW has a "Foster Roster" which allows us to collect the names of people interested in fostering dogs and cats. Does your group need foster families for pets with minor health or behavior problems, as well as very young orphaned puppies and kittens?

What The "Foster Roster" Is: It's a list maintained by Indiana-PAW that reflects the names and contact information of Indiana citizens willing to provide temporary foster care for animals currently at local shelters and/or rescue groups. Indiana-PAW only provides access to this list to Indiana shelters and rescue groups upon request. Your shelter/rescue group (not Indiana-PAW) will then be responsible for contacting potential foster families to ask for their help fostering specific animals for your agency. In addition your agency will be responsible for training the foster families and providing them support.

What The "Foster Roster" Is NOT: Indiana-PAW intends, through its "Foster Roster," to merely facilitate relationships between citizens and Indiana shelters and rescue groups. However, Indiana-PAW does NOT assume any responsibility for these relationships. After providing the "Foster Roster" to shelters and rescue groups that request it, those groups must then use their normal screening processes for selecting appropriate foster parents from the list.

How The "Foster Roster" Works: If you are an Indiana shelter or rescue group in need of foster families, please complete the form below letting us know that. We then add you to our "Foster Roster" Shelter/Rescue Group list. Then, Indiana-PAW will forward contact information for citzens who request to be added to the "Foster Roster" to help you save lives!
