Oscar
Background: Oscar is another heartworm treatment survivor who, after treatment, is heartworm-negative and in great health. He walks well on a lead and would be a great candidate for obedience training that would help him refine his skills and increase his confidence in new situations. We would consider Oscar is an easygoing dog with a medium energy level.
Gender: Male
Breed: Black Lab Mix
Approximate Age: 2 years
Spay/Neuter Status: Yes, Oscar is neutered!
Vaccinations: Yes, Oscar is current on his vaccinations.
Housetrained: Yes, Oscar is crate and house trained.
Compatibility with Children: Oscar would be better for older children (12+).
Compatibility with Other Animals: Oscar gets along well with other dogs.
Personality: He is very friendly and would enjoy longs walks, romps at the dog park or just playing ball in the yard. Oscar can be a bit nervous around new people but once he gets to know them he warms up very quickly.
Ideal Home: He would do best with a single person or a family with older children. Oscar is an all-round nice dog who will thrive in a new caring family!

Rocco
Background: Lets imagine that you are a dog. A Lab. A good Lab. You were brought home as a tiny puppy and your family thought the world of you. As you grew older, you served your family well. You made them laugh. You were always by their side for good times, bad times and uneventful times. You gave this family all of your good stuff and the best years of your life. You sat when they asked you sit. You laid down when they asked you to. And, you were a good boy in the house. You even gave them plenty of wonderful lab kisses for no reason at all. Now lets imagine that you are now a 9-year old lab. A good 9-year old lab that your family does not want anymore. Now imagine that you are in a shelter and scared to death. You are balled up in a corner and cannot face anyone who comes near. This is how we found and rescued Rocco. He is on the small side, weighing about 55 lbs. He walks well on lead and off lead. He knows a few commands and best of all, he is a lab. A good lab.
